Overview / What This Opportunity Entails
As part of its digital transformation strategy, WFP is modernizing its enterprise software architecture. The Integration Services Lead serves as the primary strategic and technical reference point for WFP’s Enterprise Integration Hub (EIH), which spans three key pillars: API Integrations, Custom Integrations, and AI Integrations.
Reporting under the supervision of the Chief of TECD and the Director of Information Technology, the Lead will define integration design principles, establish cloud-native API governance, enforce security protocols, and guide multidisciplinary teams across WFP’s global operations.
Core Details & Key Responsibilities
Your strategic leadership duties will span governance, system architecture, security, and developer support:
- Strategic Practice Governance: Define the strategic roadmap, maturity model, and integration design principles (synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven) for the Enterprise Integration Hub.
- AI & API Integration Roadmap: Shape the enterprise strategy for AI integration—including the enterprise MCP Gateway, Agent-to-Agent (A2A) frameworks, and AI Gateways.
- Architecture & Cloud Optimization: Oversee the cloud hosting / IPaaS landscape, promoting full cloud-native, pipeline-based integration architectures to maximize system scalability, cost efficiency, and resilience.
- Security & Observability: Collaborate with IT Security to implement robust observability layers, enforce “rugged software” development practices, and maintain vulnerability management protocols.
- Developer Experience & Standards: Maintain enterprise-grade technical documentation, champion the API-first principle, and promote OpenAPI and AsyncAPI specification standards across developer communities.
Self-Qualification: Do You Match the Profile?
Review these non-negotiable eligibility criteria before submitting your candidate profile:
- Education: Bachelor’s University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of international professional experience in enterprise IT, with a direct focus on integration architecture, API management, and digital platform governance.
- Leadership Track Record: At least 5 years of experience coordinating or leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Core Technical Expertise: Demonstrated mastery in API lifecycle management, SOA, microservices, event-driven architecture, IPaaS, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and Git workflows.
- Language Skills: Complete professional fluency in English (spoken and written).
