Overview / What This Opportunity Entails

The SME Development Program Phase II is designed to build a pool of procurement-ready, citizen-owned enterprises capable of bidding for and executing contracts within the mining, infrastructure, energy, and corporate sectors.

BongoHive is seeking qualified Technical Experts to design practical training content and facilitate hands-on, three-day technical skills workshops for local SMEs. The workshops will take place in Manyama, Kalumbila District, between 24 August and 2 September 2026. BongoHive will arrange and cover all logistical costs, including transport, accommodation, venue, and meals.

Sector Areas & Core Responsibilities

Key Scope of Work:

  • Curriculum Development: Prepare sector-specific training materials and practical workshop resources.
  • Training Facilitation: Deliver practical three-day technical workshops, facilitate field learning visits, and conduct hands-on exercises.
  • Assessment & Reporting: Perform participant assessments, contribute to certification scoring, and submit comprehensive workshop reports.

  • Qualifications & Experience: Relevant academic/professional qualifications backed by proven industry experience in your specific technical domain.
  • Training Track Record: Demonstrated experience in delivering adult learning, technical training, or SME capacity-building programs.
  • Industry Compliance: Deep understanding of industry quality assurance, operational compliance, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
  • Language Advantage: Proficiency in local languages spoken in the area (Kaonde, Lunda, or Bemba) is an added advantage.
